About Us

We have spent many years travelling to gorgeous places and staying in rustic and rural style properties both home and abroad, always wishing to own one ourselves one day!

Well our story began eight years ago, when we rented a villa in rural Andalucia. We fell in love with the area and were lucky enough to buy ‘La Encina’, a beautiful rustic cottage sitting on the side of the Sierras, in a pueblo blanco, on the N432 somewhere between Cordoba and Granada with the Alhambra Palace, and near to the beautiful ancient town of Alcala la Real, with its magnificent fortress dating back to 700AD. 

We now want to share this magical place with our guests, and want La Encina to be a haven of peace and tranquillity to wash away the cares of the world.
