La Encina is a  mountain cottage (Spanish Cortijo) in Ermita Nueva, Jaen in Andalucía (5km from the historic town of Alcala la Real & 35km from the historic city of Granada), with expansive grounds and a pool exclusively for use by guests. This lovely two-bedroom, two-bathroom property available to rent is full of rustic charm and has excellent facilities. 

This property is the perfect place to enjoy all year round and has good wi-fi, a Smart TV and Bluetooth portable speakers for your comfort. The interior is full of Spanish character and is decorated with beautiful paintings.

There is plenty to keep you entertained as the property provides games, cards and a dartboard and there is gym equipment guest use.

La Encina is a very special place offering rustic charm, sophistication and excellent facilities. From the property you can hear beautiful birdsong and see many species from both bedrooms and surrounding this amazing property. So much nature awaits you.

Throughout the property, furnishings are of the highest quality and your every need is catered for from satellite TV to mosquito nets on all windows and Wi-Fi, La Encina has it all.

The ground floor is open plan with a large living area that has a sofa and a chaise longue (which can be converted to a bed) and a dining table and chairs that seats up to eight people. The fully equipped kitchen has a cooker and hob, an independent freezer, a separate fridge, dishwasher and a microwave. There is also a wide selection of cutlery, crockery, cooking pots and dishes, cutting boards and much more to help you have a completely worry-free holiday. There is also a downstairs shower room with toilet.

Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms both with air conditioning which can be either two 90cm singles or one super king-size 180cm double, (always connected as a double seamlessly for your comfort). The bed or beds will be made to your requirements on arrival. Both bedrooms are spacious, have beamed ceilings and enjoy double aspect with fantastic views. There is a bathroom on the first floor, with bath and easy to use shower.

Externally there is a grill for you to enjoy al fresco dining all year round. During the hot summer months (when barbecues are banned typically May to September), the grill can be used to eat outside. Barbecues can be used outside of the season.

You have access to the whole property, including the land, pool and all surroundings, along with a garage with gym equipment solely for guests use. You enter the property via a gravel driveway and view beautiful La Encina in all its glory. No-one will disturb you, but our house manager is only a phone call away and we are always contactable by phone or email.

The swimming pool is accessed via a small number of steps which is to the side of the house. The pool has a shallow end, shaded areas, eating areas, parasols, and games for the children and adults alike.
